Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has begun its countdown for a significant event which will bring the students together with the prominent figures of the sector. To be organized in collaboration with EMU Student Development, Events and Sports Affairs Directorate and Industrial Engineering Club, the “Industry Summit’26” catches attention with its comprehensive program and robust speakers.
The summit—supported by Telsim as communication sponsor, Grand Sapphire Resort Hotel as accommodation sponsor, and Prova Cyprus as sound, stage, and lighting sponsor—will commence with opening addresses at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, 4 April 2026, at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center. Distinguished as the first event of its kind in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the summit holds particular significance.
Sector Leaders to Meet with Students
As part of the full-day program, leading experts in their respective fields will meet with students. Following the opening speeches, Penti CEO Mert Karaibrahimoğlu, CAE Ahmet Öztürk from Coca-Cola İçecek Türkiye, and Vodafone Türkiye Executive Vice Chair Hana Jalel Milesi will each deliver presentations, offering insights into current industry developments, ongoing work in their fields, and their career journeys and experiences.
Furthermore, Şişecam Design Center Director Değer Demircan Acılıoğlu and Foreverbest LLC Director and Career Coach Fidan Ahmet will also deliver presentations. Multinet Up CFO Yelda Domaç Atilla will provide students with sectoral insights during her presentation.
“Production and Management in TRNC: A Panel Discussion” will take place
In the “Production and Management in TRNC: A Panel Discussion” event to be held within the scope of the summit, MOS Glass Director Yaprak Özyalçın, Onan Ltd. Director Leman Onan, Dağlı Cosmetics & Cleaners Director Defne Dağlı and Oza Kahve Director Ergün Oza will address the participants. The panel will explore the dynamics of the local business environment, the opportunities and challenges in production processes, and how management strategies are reflected in practice. Offering valuable insights for students, the panel will present real-life examples from production to management and share experiences that will guide young people in their career paths.
A Strong Connection to be built between Students and the Sector
As part of the summit, booths will be set up in the foyer area where the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry, along with manufacturing and supply companies from the TRNC, will have the opportunity to connect directly with students. Participants will be able to engage in one-on-one conversations with industry representatives, learn about career opportunities, and gain insight into the expectations of the business world. This interactive setting will help build strong connections between students and the sector.
Throughout the day, raffles will further boost the excitement of the summit, giving participants the chance to win surprise gifts and enhancing the overall energy and interaction of the event.
