Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Pharmacy organized a ‘Patient Informing Competition’ which received keen participations from Pharmacy students from 8th semester and above. The jury members of the said competition were, Prof. Dr. Hayrettin Ozan Gülcan, Dean of EMU Faculty of Pharmacy; Assist. Prof. Dr. Jale Yüzügülen, Vice Dean of EMU Faculty of Pharmacy; faculty members Prof. Dr. Müberra Koşar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Hamurtekin, Assist. Prof. Dr. Leyla Beba Pozharani, Assist. Prof. Dr. Emine Dilek Özyılmaz, Dr. Hananeh Kordbache, Senior Instructor Mustafa Akpınar and, Pharmacists Esra Halkın, Eylem Körceğez and Rana Salamah Yontar.
Prof. Dr. H. Ozan Gülcan congratulated the students on their achievements, stating that the competition contributed both to the development of their professional knowledge and skills, and to raising awareness about patient education. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Gülcan emphasized that such activities strengthen students’ communication skills and help them better understand their future professional responsibilities.
All participants received certificates of participation upon the evaluations of the jury. İrem Nural was presented with first place award, followed by Paul Travis Walugembe and Elizabeth Lynn Arinda in second and third places, respectively.
